Here, where architectural beauty meets antiquity, you will find numerous churches—such as the late-Renaissance Santa Maria di Materdei complex and the equally monumental early 18th-century cloister—as well as Eneolithic tombs (the oldest artificial underground cavities discovered in Naples to date, dating back to the 3rd century BC) and historic buildings like Palazzo del Cavaliere and Palazzo Cassano Ayerbo d'Aragona.
